About us

Nomadic Scotland hire premium Land Rover Defender’s and Discovery’s equipped with roof-top tents for the Ultimate Camping Experience.

We also offer bespoke adventure packages tailored to your individual needs.

Our goal is to provide you with exceptional service and high-quality vehicles and equipment.

We are based in Crieff, Scotland, just 20 minutes drive from Gleneagles train station and one hour’s drive from Edinburgh international airport – the perfect location to start your Scottish outdoor adventure!

The heart of Scotland

Crieff is a great place to start your adventure!  The historic town in Perthshire is situated within the ‘Heart 200’ route on the eastern edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.

Perthshire itself is a vast county, referred to as the Gateway to the Highlands it offers quick and easy access to some of the most stunning scenery in the world; breath-taking mountains, glens and vast tranquil Lochs are plentiful.

Explore Scotland

Head West and within just two hours you will find yourself in the valley of Glencoe where 007s Skyfall was filmed! From here you could head North towards Skye or even the Outer Hebrides where you could experience some of the best beaches in the world.

Head North through the Sma Glen towards the Cairngorms National Park, 1700 Sq. miles of wilderness and truly breath-taking scenery, home to Golden Eagles, Red Deer and some of the highest mountains in the UK. The choice is yours and the possibilities are endless!

For a great adventure

We use iKamper Skycamp roof tents on our vehicles, they are extremely comfortable and have a high quality interior finish.

iKamper are the largest hard-shell roof tents on the market, the internal dimensions are 186cm x 210cm making them spacious enough for 3 adults or a family of 2 adults & 2 children.

With a set up time of just 60 seconds it doesn’t get much easier!

Off-Grid Package

The Private and exclusive Off-Grid Package gives you the chance to camp in the mountains for 2 consecutive nights in complete isolation.

Situated within the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, the remote camping spot offers complete tranquillity and the chance to observe many wild animals such as Ospreys, Golden Eagles and Deer in their natural environment.

We can also arrange a collect-and-return service from all Scottish Airports. (Charges apply)

Rental terms summary

  • 4 nights minimum rental
  • Full insurance is included in rental price for 2 drivers
  • Tents sleep 2 Adults & 2 Children*
  • Driver age 23 – 70
  • Fuel not included
  • 120 Miles per night free (4 nights = 480 miles)
  • Excess of 120 Miles/night charged at £0.80p/mile + vat*
  • Check in: From 10 AM
  • Check out: By 12 Noon
  • Prices include VAT

A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking. 
The balance of the hire charge is due 4 weeks prior to collection.

Please read our terms and conditions before booking and pay particular attention to our Identification criteria to avoid delay on collection.
Credit/debit card details are required on collection to cover the insurance excess of £1500 (refundable). Our full terms and conditions can be found on the link at the bottom of this page.
