Truly one of the best experiences we’ve ever had!

My best friend and I booked our camping trip through Nomadic Scotland, and it was truly one of the best experiences we’ve ever had! From start to finish, everything went smoothly and was incredibly well organized. Communication was easy, everything from booking details to trip setup was handled through WhatsApp, which made coordinating effortless.

A special shout-out to Sandy, who went above and beyond for us. He took the time to review our itinerary and sat with us for about an hour, patiently walking us through the best routes and how to make the most of the tools and equipment we rented; from the tent to the cookware and sleeping bags. His kindness, patience, and genuine passion for what he does made all the difference.

Even while we were on the road, Sandy checked in and offered help whenever we needed it. His guidance made exploring the Highlands feel easy, safe, and absolutely magical.

Nomadic Scotland made it possible for us to experience something so special, a trip filled with freedom, adventure, and the breathtaking beauty of Scotland. I cannot recommend them, or Sandy, enough! If you’re considering exploring the Highlands, this is the team to do it with. We would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

So easy to plan the route, activities and great food

We rented a defender with the camping package for a week from Nomadic to do a tour of the Scottish coast and had the most unforgettable experience! Was so easy to plan the route, activities and great food spots with the extremely helpful Alex and Sandy, and with everything you need to camp being included in the package there is no stress in getting organised for the trip!

Definitely going to use Nomadic again, and have already been recommending to friends and family. Thanks so much to the team!

The entire experience, from start to end was highly professional. Sandy was nothing short of phenomenal in communication prior to our trip, picking us up at Perth train station and running through all aspects of the vehicle. The Defender we hired exceeded the authentic Scottish experience we were seeking. Having driven throughout Scotland and seeing similar rental cars (Defenders, Discovery etc) it was clear that Nomadic Scotland’s are very well kept. Our car was squeaky clean and mechanics well functioning. Definitely the most well kept we saw on the roads. Treat yourself to an unforgettable experience with Nomadic – we’ll be coming back!

Fantastic company! We just came back from a road trip through Scotland and Sandy and Alex were always super helpful! They made the whole process easy and with and were always very supportive. From suggestions of itineraries to clarifying other doubts, they made sure we would be able to enjoy the experience. We rented the classic defender for a weekand it was an amazing experience – one that I will never forget. Thank you!!

Really great adventure

Really great adventure, Scotland is a really beautiful place and visiting the highlands with Nomadic Scotland was amazing. Really nice team and really helpful (pick up and drop off, nice advices for the itinerary and fast answer if you need while you are travelling with the car)
The defender is a wonderful car, really well equipped and really easy to install the tent.

The best experience with Nomadic Scotland!

We had the best experience with Nomadic Scotland! The entire process from start to finish was so easy. We visited Scotland this past week from California and did the NC500 with their Land Rover Discovery HSE Auto. We had an amazing time and the service they provided made the trip that much better. If you’re visiting Scotland and are looking for a dependable vehicle and great customer care, I would highly recommend using Nomadic Scotland for your trip!

We had SUCH a fantastic trip

This is a very belated review, but we had SUCH a fantastic trip to the Scottish highlands back in September, which was a birthday gift to my husband who has always wanted to go.
The setup from Nomadic Scotland could not have been more perfect for what we were looking for!
As we were only going for 4 nights, it was the perfect way to see all of the places we wanted to see without a faff of trying to find hotels etc which are far and few between.
Not to mention how much of a fun adventure it was! To have the flexibility was ideal. The tent was so easy to setup, and they provided some brilliant instructions and tips which massively helped.
Not to mention the van had everything we needed, so all we had to do was a food shop and we were good to go. The defender was easy to drive and added a fun element of the trip.
We had the most incredible time, and have had so many people asking us about the trip. I couldn’t recommend Nomadic Scotland more!

The best way to see Scotland!

The best way to see Scotland! We had a brilliant adventure exploring Assynt and the north west Highlands in June ’24. On our last night, having camped in an isolated glen, we unzipped the tent only to see a juvenile sea eagle fly right by us! First and only holiday I’ve ever seen three sea eagles before breakfast. Such a treat.
The car was great, the tent was comfy and all the kit and accessories were top of the range. It comes ingeniously packed with everything you need – and with plenty of thoughful extras, such as outdoor games for the kids.
Special shoutout to Sandy, who couldn’t have been more helpful in talking us through all the kit, preparing us for the trip, and going out of his way to pick us up and drop us off at our next destination. Knowing that he was on the end of the phone, in case of any issues (there weren’t any) made a massive difference – thanks again, Sandy!

Practicalities: We had an overspill tent but in the end, didn’t need it. Our dog slept in the car and there was enough room for the five of us (two adults, three kids under 10) to fit in the tent.
It’s also worth noting that you’re not allowed to overnight camp in a lot of beauty spots or on private roads, so it can also be worth booking spots at campsites, as well as “wild” camping. We did a bit of both.

We found Nomadic to be a fantastic company. The kids weren’t the only ones disappointed we couldn’t keep the Defender 🙂

Flawless, comfy, fun

Had the pickup for 10 days covering NC500, Skye, Glen Nevis and Glencoe – it was flawless, comfy, fun to drive in each of the variants of Scottish weather and also the envy of everyone else. The roof tent was comfy and has all the kit for camping in the rain and sun. Fantastic recommendations from Nomadic Scotland and prompt responses – easy check-in and check-out, will definitely be booking again for more adventures touring the Highlands.

Loved my 10 days in Scotland

I just loved, loved my 10 days in Scotland with my Nomadic Discovery. The car actually felt like mine and I really didn’t want to give her back. An enormous thank you to Nomadic Scotland for everything. I was so impressed with the state of the vehicle exterior, the cleanliness of the interior and how well equipped the camping pack was. Everything I needed, and nothing I didn’t. Many companies are great to deal with pre-sale, but the service and care provided by you and Sam continued through to vehicle pickup, during my trip (thank you for the weather updates!) and even after I’d dropped the vehicle off. Looking forward to returning. No better way to travel Scotland.
