Munro Bagging & Mountain Adventures
Scotland is home to 282 Munros — mountains over 3,000 feet — making it one of Europe’s best hiking destinations. For many visitors, climbing a Munro is a bucket-list experience and one of the best ways to experience the Scottish Highlands.
Beginners often start with accessible peaks such as Ben Lomond, Schiehallion or Ben Vrackie. All can be tackled in a day and have well marked paths. Although the boulder field at the top of Schiehallion needs to be tackled with care! More experienced hikers may tackle iconic summits such as Ben Nevis, Liathach or the dramatic Cuillin Ridge on Skye.
The reward is rarely just the summit itself. Along the way you’ll discover hidden waterfalls, Highland wildlife and some of the most breathtaking views in the UK.
